Xiangqian Li, Director, Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer
Xiangqian Li has served as the chairman of our board, our president and chief executive officer since January 20, 2005. He has been a director of BAK International Limited, our Hong Kong incorporated subsidiary, since November 2004. Mr. Li is the founder and has served as the chairman of the board of Shenzhen BAK, our wholly owned subsidiary, since its inception in August 2001, and served as Shenzhen BAK's general manager since December 2003. From June 2001 to June 2003, Mr. Li was the chairman of Huaran Technology Co., Ltd., a PRC-incorporated company engaged in the car audio business. Mr. Li received a bachelor's degree in thermal energy and power engineering from the Lanzhou Railway Institute, China and a doctorate degree in quantitative economics from Jilin University in China.
 Jun Zou, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Secretary
Jun Zou has served as our chief financial officer, treasurer and company secretary since April 1, 2010. Jun Zou joined China BAK as Vice President of Strategy. Before joining China BAK, he previously served as chief financial officer at GCL Silicon in Hong Kong. From 2006 to 2008, he was the chief financial officer for BU Global Technical Services and the head of global customer financing and treasury at Huawei Technologies. From 1999 to 2006, Mr. Zou worked at Ericsson U.S. and Sweden with progressive managerial roles in customer financing, treasury, strategic planning, and eventually as global controller for the managed services business unit. Prior to 1999, he held positions at Citi Capital Markets, First Union Capital Markets, and Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi. He once also served as a corporate finance and strategy advisor for businesses and investors in the alternative energy sector. Mr. Zou earned his Bachelor of Science in International Business and Economics at Shanghai International Studies University and his MBA at The University of Texas.
Kenneth G. Broom,Chief Operating Offiicer
Kenneth G. Broom has served as our Chief Operating Officer since February 24, 2009. Mr. Broom served as our Vice President of International OEM Business from October 1, 2007 to February 24, 2009. From January 2007 to September 2007, he worked as Executive Vice President for BAK Canada. Prior to joining us, Mr. Broom served as Executive Vice President of E-One Moli Energy (Canada) Limited (＾E-One￣), the only high volume manufacturer of cylindrical lithium-ion rechargeable cells in North America, from 2003 to 2007. He was also General Manager of Operations of E-One from 1992 to 2003. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. Mr. Broom received a bachelor¨s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo.
